Uprooted Academy's Fall Virtual College Fair

What sets our fair apart is its distinctiveness – not only will esteemed universities be present, including state schools, Ivy League institutions, HBCUs, and liberal arts colleges, but also national organizations equipped with resources tailored to empower low-income, first-generation students of color.

This isn't your typical virtual college fair - we're offering an immersive and accessible experience through a metaverse that is available from any phone, tablet or computer. Attendees can connect directly with colleges and resource services, receive free expert counseling, and get a chance to win scholarship awards. Universities and Organizational Partners can pack their booths full of valuable content/information that is available to all for 90 days post the event, give presentations, as well as directly connect with interested attendees via chat or video call.

We picked the metaverse for our event because it's like a super-accessible online space. We want all students, no matter where they live, to join without any problems. Imagine it like a cool video game world where everyone can take part easily.

See, sometimes regular events are hard to get to, especially if you're far away. But with the metaverse, anyone can join from their computer. Plus, we're adding fun game-like stuff to make it even more exciting to explore.

The best part is, we believe that everyone should have a shot at great education opportunities. Our event is all about showing that each of us belongs in the education world, and this online fair will help us discover how we can grab hold of those opportunities without any worries.

Attendee programming is from 12-6pm and includes speakers, panels, university presentations and scholarship giveaways

This fair is for everyone! Our aim is to create an inclusive haven for over 2,000 9-12 students, parents, educators, and community members. Our goal is to encourage a journey towards higher education without fear. We're teaming up with partners such as the College Board, Scoir, Matriculate, and more to make this vision a reality. Together, we're dedicated to reaching out to every student and their families, ensuring they have the chance to connect with you, your institution, and the valuable resources we provide!

Our choice to establish our event within the metaverse is driven by its remarkable accessibility, ensuring that all students, regardless of their location, can seamlessly participate without hindrances. Leveraging the metaverse's transformative features, we're charting a course towards an educational landscape free from constraints, offering an inclusive invitation to everyone. Embedded within this event is a gamified experience, designed to break down barriers and foster engagement in innovative ways. We recognize that physical limitations often prevent students from accessing traditional fairs, making it difficult for everyone to be present. With the metaverse, these hindrances are eliminated, ensuring that each student can navigate the fair with ease. Central to our mission is the resounding affirmation that we all deserve a place ('We Belong') in every facet of education. This event serves as a beacon guiding us toward embracing opportunities without hesitation, celebrating our collective potential unapologetically.

Universities can choose flexible availability from 2:00 - 5:30pm EDT and includes time for a 30 minute presentation, and answering questions for students who stop by your booth either through text chat or a video call. If you can't make it. No problem, your booths visability will be great for students. Organizational partners can present on their resource from 12:45-2 and stay at their booth for any follow-up questions

No worries! You can still showcase your institution by setting up a booth with materials.
All shared items will be available to students for 90 days post the event.

Any and all digital assets! Student testimonials, video links, virtual tours, admissions documents, financial aid calculators, links showcasing campus life or student support and etc.
Through your content you can shine a light on your programs, scholarships, campus vibes and more.
You can also link your counselors booking pages to continue direct contact after the event concludes.

Yes! Any attendee that stops by your booth is shared via a data report post the event.

No more than 10 - 15 minutes, we want this to be as easy possible.

"Pay what you can" refers to a pricing model that offers you the flexibility to contribute an amount that aligns with their financial capacity.

1. If you are interested in exhibiting but don't have funds allocated, you can still participate for free.
2. If you are in the process of obtaining funds but are experiencing delays, you can register, and an invoice can be issued after the event.
3. If you find the sliding scale pricing challenging, the general cost for a booth is $200.

We want to make this as easy a lift as possible for your institution because we know the true benefit of interacting with our 2,000+ deserving students in urban and rural areas across 22 states. We are a non-profit organization and use these donations for production costs of 4 major annual events, expanding our apps resources and reach, scholarship awards, enriching student programming, application costs, diversity fly-in programs, enrollment - textbook - lab fees.

You will receive an email with setup instructions detailing how to prepare your booth. Take the time to ensure your booth is well-organized. Keep an eye on your emails leading up to the event for a webinar that will guide you on how to make the most of your time as an exhibitor. Additionally, explore the social aspects, where you can let potential students know about your participation in the WeBelong college fair.

Who can run the booth/live session Staff, students, alumni, or volunteers. It's moderated via zoom and we can accommodate more than one speaker for the session.
